Nancy Romita , ACAT, AmSAT

Nancy Wanich-Romita, master teacher and workshop facilitator, has been facilitating Alexander Technique workshops for 20 years. Ms Romita has facilitated workshops for The Private Industry Council, Morgan Bank, IBM, Center for Poverty Solution, and The Annie E Casey Foundation. Since 1987, she has taught a course in Alexander Technique at Towson University that satisfies a general education requirement for graduation for any student regardless of major. In addition, Ms Romita teaches an Alexander Technique course for graduate students in theater. She has worked for McDermott Ass. as a facilitator in leadership training, movement as transformation, as well as movement training and body language in public speaking. She has provided AT workshops for business leaders, physical therapists, and teachers, and performers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Ms. Romita has taught the Alexander Technique at the 92stY in NYC, the American Dance Festival in Durham, NC, Connecticut College, State University of New York at Purchase, University of Maryland at Baltimore County, Peabody Conservatory of Music, Villa Julie College, and is currently on the faculty of Towson University. Ms. Romita has served on the faculty at The Baltimore School of Massage and The Baltimore Holistic Health Center. She is a Certified Teacher of the Alexander Technique, certified by the American Center for the Alexander Technique in NYC in 1984 where she trained with Deborah Caplan, Judith Leibowitz, Barbara Kent, Ann and Troupe Mathews, and Pamela Anderson. She is a member of the American Society for Alexander Teachers. Ms. Romita holds a BA in Dance and Child Development from Connecticut College, and a Masters in Fine Arts in Theater from Towson University.
