Meade Andrews is an internationally recognized senior teacher of the Alexander Technique. She currently teaches as guest artist in theatre at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, where she also maintains a private practice in the Alexander work. In the Princeton area, she offers classes and workshops at Westminster Choir College. Meade has lived and worked in Washington, DC, for
27 years. During that time, she taught at American University
in the dance and theatre programs, where she introduced the Alexander
Technique. She also taught Alexander Technique, acting, and improvisation
at the Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory for 12 years, where
she worked on many productions, including a revival of Hair, which
won the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Musical Production in
l998. Meade maintains a lively practice in Florida, dividing her
time between performing artists and people who want to explore
improvement in daily movement skills and coordination. She also
assists people with back and neck pain. Meade has taught all over
the us and abroad (Japan, Germany, Spain, Australia) and enjoys
inspiring people to increase their awareness of the power and
beauty of all facets of their lives. She returns to the DC area
and NY on a regular basis.
