Alexander Technique Teachers
of Greater Washington

Karel Weissberg

I have been a massage therapist since 1976 and an Alexander Technique teacher since 1987. I have a B.A. in Social Relations (sociology and psychology) from Radcliffe College (Harvard University). I have studied modern dance, taught exercise classes, and was a founding member of Earth Onion Women’s Theatre, a group of feminists who created performance pieces based on stories from women’s lives. I completed my initial Alexander Technique teacher training with Aileen Crow in New York City in 1987. In addition to maintaining a private practice, I have worked in a hospital pain management program and in a neurologist’s office. I was a lead instructor at Potomac Massage Training Institute for 5 years, teaching anatomy, physiology, and introduction to massage. I enjoy working with anyone who wishes to experience greater ease and comfort in daily activities, at work and at home.

I have recently moved to Mt. Desert Island, on the coast of Maine. My new office address and phone number are given below.
