In 2001 I graduated from the Alexander Alliance teacher-training program in Philadelphia and have been teaching Alexander Technique ever since. In 2004-2005 I had the pleasure of working with Alexander Technique master teacher, John Nicholls, taking his course, “The Carrington Way of Working” in New York. In addition to my Alexander Technique work, I have been teaching voice for thirty years - teaching for Morgan State University, The University of Maryland, Baltimore County, The Peabody Preparatory, Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, and Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
Presently, I have my own studio, The Braeside Studio for Alexander Technique and Vocal Studies, offering individual voice lessons, individual Alexander Technique lessons, and for singers - the opportunity to study both voice and Alexander Technique. In my home studio I teach Alexander Technique to singers, musicians, and individuals from a wide variety of professions who want to relieve tension, stress, pain, or discomfort from their bodies. Recently, I have joined the Columbia Center for the Healing Arts to hopefully bring the benefits of Alexander Technique to more individuals.
